Альберт Римольди, застенчивый банковский служащий в Crédit Central в Руане, человек чувствительный и наивный. Чтобы подшутить над ним, двое его коллег по офису отправляют ему любовное письмо, в котором некая Дженни назначает ему встречу.

Albert Rimoldi, timide employé de banque au Crédit Central de Rouen est un être sensible et naïf. Afin de lui faire une blague, deux de ses collègues de bureau lui adressent une lettre d'amour où une certaine Jenny lui donne rendez-vous.
Le lendemain de cette triste soirée où il comprend qu'il a été berné, il se voit demander par le directeur de la banque – qui lui promet une substantielle augmentation – de convoyer un fourgon contenant deux cents millions.
Soupçonné du vol après le braquage du convoi de fonds, Rimoldi est relâché faute de preuves, mais il se trouve dès le lendemain confronté à une série de meurtres, dont celui de la mystérieuse Jenny. Après bien des aventures, il démasquera lui-même l'assassin et touchera la prime des assurances, ce qui lui vaudra le respect de son entourage.
Albert Rimoldi, a shy bank employee at the Crédit Central in Rouen, is a sensitive and naive being. In order to play a joke on him, two of his office colleagues send him a love letter where a certain Jenny gives him an appointment.
The day after this sad evening when he realizes that he has been fooled, he is asked by the director of the bank – who promises him a substantial raise – to escort a van containing two hundred million.
Suspected of the theft after the robbery of the convoy of funds, Rimoldi is released for lack of evidence, but he finds himself the next day confronted with a series of murders, including that of the mysterious Jenny. After many adventures, he will unmask the assassin himself and will receive the insurance reward, which will earn him the respect of those around him.
