cast ha noor jehan , neelo , aslam pervez and alaudin who are all excellent ,
misic by rasheed attre is extremely suitable for the thee itvcatches the spirit of thevworking girls and their dreams and desries , however trivial they might be in the songs ,
there are some very dark and maicious characters here that make it an offbeat art movie ,
the songs are staged naturally and two are in coal fields on location ,
the story is about a womaniser wealthy tycoon who singles out a working girl for her beauty and he uses every trick in the book to get her to have sex with him promising marriage after a long romantic courtship but then once she is pregnant he refuses to accept her ,
noor jehan payed the girl with exceptional courage and great performance ranging from the carefree hapoy bold worker to the rejected single mother who is outcast by her community ,
the movie is about pre marital sex and whether abortion is a solution to just recreational sex and its consequences , the girl refuses to abort and gives birth to the child ,
the father is aware but refuses to take responsibilty and the woman in a rage murders him ,
she is sentenced to death and we see their child being taken to a school by her uncle and as the child gets denied admission for having no fathers nae , the story is related in a flashback ,
aslam pervez makes a great lover and betrayer ,noor is simply superb as the uneducated unsophisticated wild girl who beieves in his vows of love and marital promises and the subsequent rejection by her own community for a carna sin .
music is great but locatins , sets and cinematography are noirish , the dark glistening frames are harrowing and enchanting with the romance and subsequent betrayal ,
neend is a great neo real adult theme and its rendered like a romantic noir and it nails its thene
