"Fidel Castro in the USSR"
Report entirely devoted to the visit of Fidel Castro to the USSR, his arrival and his stay in Moscow.
- Arrival of Fidel CASTRO in the USSR in Moscow, he is welcomed at the airport by Nikita KHROUCHTCHEV and on the way to Red Square, by a compact crowd that cheers him as the official car passes.
- Speech by the two men on Red Square in front of a dense and enthusiastic crowd. Then, with a wreath of flowers, he goes to the Lenin mausoleum on the square - Visit to a naval base, submarines and warships. He picks up a little snow to make a ball and throws it.
- He attends a concert and show by the Red Army dancers at the Kremlin Palace of Congresses given in his honor and that of the Cuban delegation accompanying him (Commander René VALLEJO is part of the delegation).
- Crossing the city illuminated at night.
- Meeting with Henry WINSTON, a black American communist leader who has taken refuge in the USSR.
- At the Lenin Stadium, he attends with Khrushchev a parade of athletes and several sporting events including a football match between Dynamo and Torpedo. The stadium is filled with the jostling public.
- He then goes with his delegation to the Bolshoi Theater where he attends the performance of the ballet "Swan Lake". He was able to greet, in the company of the USSR ambassador to Cuba, the ballerina Maia PLISSETSKAIA and most of the dancers.
- Great military parade of May 1st on Red Square. Installed on the tribune of honor Castro and the members
of the Soviet government Khrushchev, Brezhnev ...The people and the children then parade to the sound of the Internationale and greet the personalities on the tribune.
