In a two thirds complete omnibus of Christmas episodes of the soap Brookside in December 1993, Lyn Rogers falls down the stairs and miscarries her child after an argument with step daughter Sammy, leading to most of the family deciding to move out and leave the Close. However, youngest daughter Katie has plans to stay, but lies to the family. Still traumatised by losing her father in the car crash, she has sought comfort in shop worker Simon Howe, but his religious beliefs are somewhat more disturbing than she realizes. Jimmy Corkhill is also suffering, but that of guilt. It was him who caused the car crash that killed Frank Rogers and left Tony Dixon in a coma when high on drugs, and now racked with guilt he tries his best to make it up to a unwitting Ron Dixon for his son in hospital. But things are not looking good and all the while Barry Grant is keeping an eye on Jimmy after he discovers drugs in his possession at the club. Barry is preoccupied with a potential surrogate pregnancy involving illegal immigrant Anna Wolska, little realising that she is planning to double cross him with best mate Terry Sullivan. And they are not the only ones hiding a secret. The Jordaches are somewhat nervous when the house next door comes up for sale, due to an unfortunate parcel they have in the garden there. And after Beth's confession to Sinbad that she is gay, he wonders who it is that she fancies. Indeed, the object of her affection has no idea either, but it isn't before long that Sinbad cottons on...

This I came across on the end of an old video tape and is an omnibus edition of the Channel 4 soap Brookside. I had to look up what episodes it covers and it starts from midway through Episode 1344 to Episode 1347, which were originally broadcast from December 13th to December 20th 1993. I debated about uploading this, due to the incomplete nature of it, but reasoned that there must be some fans of the show who might be looking for any episodes, seeing as few would ever thought of recording it at the time. I myself have never seen the show, so I had to keep notes to work out what's going on, but I thought as it was a Christmas episode I would upload it for here. Apologies for the picture quality, by the way. I wish it was better quality, but I have uploaded it in the highest quality I could. One thing I didn't realize until I watched this is that the bloke playing David Crosbie is the pathologist in Wexford! Oh, and you get to see a pre-fame Anna Friel as Beth Jordache, so there's something to keep your eyes peeled out for.
