In 1999, Isaak's "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing" was featured in Stanley Kubrick's final film, Eyes Wide Shut, starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. The song is on his 1995 album Forever Blue. The music video for the song is directed by Herb Ritts, it starred Isaak and French supermodel Laetitia Casta in a motel room. It peaked at
#9 in September 1999 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, although it was only
#27 when it was originally released in 1996. The soundtrack for the film featured a remixed version of the song. The song was also used at the beginning of the Cold Case episode "Dog Day Afternoons" and in the trailer for the film "Sorority Row".
