Barton Fink is a young playwright in New York in 1941 who enjoys an overnight success with a play celebrating the common man. Hollywood takes notice and enlists him to write wrestling pictures for Wallace Beery. This black comedy from the Coen Brothers chronicles Barton's struggle with writer’s block, with Hollywood, and with the man in the next door room at his hotel who shows him a thing or two about the darker side of wrestling... and of life.
