Severe hailstorm in Reinos, Tamaulipas state of Mexico!
On May 30, hail surprised the people of Reynosa after a storm with heavy rain and lightning was recorded that mobilized civil protection elements and firefighters.
The size of the hailstones was amazing, dozens of cars were damaged.
According to experts, when a hailstone the size of an egg (about 30 grams) falls to the ground from a height of 1000 meters, this is equivalent to a 3-kilogram object falling from a height of about 10 meters, which is almost equivalent to throwing earth on a flower from a 3-storey building. If we meet hail on the street, several “flower pots” fall from the sky.
The storm lasted approximately 30 minutes, but the National Weather Service warned of more rain in the next few hours.
