When successful burlesque dancers Trixie (Rebekah Kochan, Eating Out) and Sulie (Jillian Easton) witness a mob hit in LA, they cut and run to Texas. Staying with Sulie's conservative parents and posing as roommates, the couple start a troupe and turn this small town upside down. Slapstick and silliness prevail as they fend off the mob, become more famous than ever, and try to keep their relationship secret. It all has to come out eventually. As the clothes come off the bullets fly.
"FISHNET is an outrageous burlesque-fuel romp that combines elements of Thelma and Louise and Sister Act, with a camp factor approaching near-John Waters levels. With a delightfully over-the-top cast and a plot that would make any 80s screenwriter proud, it's the goofiest lesbian movie this side of Better Than Chocolate. It's also one of the most fun, with a surprisingly touching story tucked behind all the jokes and theatrical posturing." - Danielle Riendeau, MTV Logo After Ellen
"The chemistry between Trixie and Sulie sparkles, and the dance numbers (which account for about a quarter of the film's run time) are fabulous. Coming off like a burlesque-fueled lebian take on Sister Act, Fishnet is camp, colourful, over-the-top fun... covered in glitter." - Out Takes New Zealand Film Festival
"I can see Fishnet developing a cult following... For this expectation, an audience may just eat Fishnet up. Only time will tell." - Travis Keune, WeAreMovieGeeks . com

Full Synopsis:
Trixie (Rebekah Kochan) and Sulie (Jillian Easton) are not only two of Los Angeles' hottest burlesque dancers, they are also girlfriends. One night after the show, the girls witness a mob-hit. Trixie tries to be a heroine but instead ends up shooting one of the mobsters. This sends the girls running to Sulie's parents' home in Texas under this facade of being roommates.
In an effort to earn some money to return home, the girls start a burlesque show at a local truck stop. Not the best way to stay incognito. After a rough start, the show takes off and becomes the hottest thing to hit Texas since Charlene Tilton on Dallas. This not only causes a big controversy in a little town but it also sends the mob, the police, and the media after them.
While all of this is going on, the girls are still living at Sulie's parents' house as roommates. Helen (Carol Lurie), Sulie's mother, starts to get suspicious and one night catches the girls sharing an intimate moment. This leads to the girls getting kicked out of the house and realizing they will soon have to face the demons waiting for them back in LA.
All of this leads to an intense third act when it all goes down at the truck stop. As the clothes come off, the bullets fly.
This is director Brian Pelletier's first feature film. It was shot in just ten days on an almost non-existent budget. This project could not have happened without the amazing support from the cast and production crew.
