2016 Toyota Vellfire performance
2016 Toyota Vellfire will keep the same powertrains as earlier model. This means that buyer will be able to choose between three engines.
First option is a hybrid powertrain. It is based on a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine capable to deliver 150 hp paired with Toyota’s eCVT and E-Four system. This engine is further combined with two electric motors. Front one produces 141 hp and rear one 67 hp. Fuel economy of the 2016 Toyota Vellfire hybrid is rated at average 45.6 mpg.
Second engine is a 2.5-liter, which is also the base option, paired with a 7-speed Sports Sequential Shiftmatic Super CVT-i transmission. Optional Stop & Start System is also availbe with this power combo and fuel economy is rated at 30.1 mpg.
Third engine option is a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine capable to deliver 276 hp. Its standard transmission is a 6-speed Super ECT automatic and fuel economy 22.3 mpg.
