We’ve all seen cars crashing through glass windows, demolishing the tables in a restaurant or the shelves in a convenience store. But we bet that one homeowner couldn’t anticipate a car crashing through his roof on a calm Friday morning.
In Taizhou city of east China’s Jiangsu Province, an SUV lost control, skidding off of the road only to have the top of a house get in his way.
The homeowner said that he was startled by a loud noise, and then saw the car in his roof.
The vehicle was embedded into the roof, and had to be extricated using a crane, while police had to help the driver out with a ladder.
The roof had caved in, and the front of the vehicle was dented.
"Speed was 70 kilometers per hour at that time. A tricycle appeared all of a sudden and I turned north only to find that a car was coming in my direction. And I stepped on the accelerator accidentally and changed my direction," said the driver.
Both visitor and host seemed to be uninjured, and the investigation into the incident continues.
