A phone call changes everything for Ebba, My and Gloria. The news that their respective sons have been involved in a serious car accident tests their friendship and priorities.
Produced and co-written by Rakel Warmlander, who also stars as Ebba, limbo focuses on parenthood and how relationships can shift in the aftermath of a tragedy
As the series begins, Ebba is introduced companionably chatting with her pals, My (Sofia Helin) and Gloria (Louise Peterhoff), over drinks in a cafe. All mothers of teenage sons, the women then head back to the home that Ebba shares with her husband, Frederik (Oscar Toringe), and are quickly immersed in a whirl of activity: borrowing a sleeping bag, bargaining over a curfew time as the boys head out to meet friends. An undercurrent of apprehension hums beneath the blithe bustle of domestic routines as director Sofia Jupither establishes the ease that exists between friends familiar with each other’s lives. Then a call in the middle of the night disrupts the routines of the everyday with news of an accident that will rock the relationships.
