Born in 1996 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Nuron Mukumiy started his piano lessons at the age of 6 at the Uspensky Institute of Music in 2002 in the class of Tamara Popovich.
He has won several international competitions, such as
2003 1 Prize of the International Russian Music Piano Competition in San Jose, CA., 1 Prize of the Uzbekistan Republic Junior competition, Tashkent, in 2004 Nuron was named Laureate of Tashkent Festival, Found Forum and in 2005 he received a Special Prize from Cantu International Piano Competition.
Further success were offers of full scholarship in three major music institutions of London: The Guildhall School, The Purcell School and the North London Piano School. In the year 2006 Nuron successfully entered the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt into the Meisterklasse Prof. Lev Natochenny. In May of the same year Nuron won the 1 Prize of the "New Names" Piano Competition and in October of the same year performed in Millenium Centre in London. The year 2007 continued to bring competition successes, thus he won the 1 Prize and a Special Prize in the "Mozart International Piano Competition" in Rome and was offered a distinguished opportunity to conduct the "Moscow Virtuosi" at the international Festival of "Vladimir Spivakov"Fund. In the years of 2007-2009 Nuron is a student at the Purcell School in London, again on full scholarship and is invited to perform twice in the St. Martin's-in-the-fields, Steinway Hall, London North Music Hall and Royal Academy Hall in London. In 2008 Nuron wins 1 Prize of the International Competition of Modern Music in Switzerland.
